The International Law Association – Hellenic Branch awards the Fatouros Prize in memoriam of Professor Arghyrios Fatouros, Professor emeritus of the University of Athens and first President of this Branch. The Prize will be awarded to the best dissertation, thesis, monograph or published work of a young scholar at the beginning of his/her carreer in the field of International Economic Law and in the Greek, English or French language. Eligible applicants must be of Greek nationality or descent and no more than 40 years of age on 1 January of the year that the Call for the award is published.

The 2013 Prize was awarded to Thomas Nektarios Papanastasiou for his thesis titled “The Legal Protection of Foreign Investments against Political Risk: The Case of Japanese Investments in the Power Sector of Asian Countries”.
